MEMPHIS SLIM, Paris on Rolls

At 47, Amercian ‘Blues’ and ‘Boogie-Woogie’ pianist-singer Memphis Slim settled permanently in Paris, until his death in 1988. During 26 years, he played in a multitude of French and European clubs, recorded dozens and dozens of live or studio albums and became a real national star by regularly appearing on the small screen of the ORTF.
This 52-minutes documentary brings to light, 30 years after his death, this Francophile musician and composer, unfairly unknown to the public, who has made a major contribution to the discovery and democratization of blues music in France and on the old continent.
